As I sit looking out on the dull and murky suburban November it seems impossible that a few weeks ago I was enjoying the enchantment that only comes with the unpredicable October from the late warmth to the howling gales and massive waves. 2018 has seen the most perfect skies with bright brillance holding on the golden colours sending an abundance of calming thoughts to truly relax and rejuvenate at the end of a busy few months of summer.
Saturday morning at 9am is Parkrun time. Paignton Velopark offered a friendly fast 5 km and a wonderful way to start the day and our weeks holiday . Then back to Beesands via the Kingswear to Dartmouth car ferry on a superb morning
There is nothing I love more than family runs on the coast path and it was a pleasure to run 14 mile route of the Endurancelife South Devon half marathon with George . We only got slightly lost once.
After the long climb from Hallsands to Start point the feeling of exhilaration you feel when you stand at the top with spectacular views and the sun shining on the sea.
I have so many pictures of Beesands sunrise but we never tire of them . Surprisingly even though people moan about our climate I never go more than a few days without being rewarded to this sight
A perfect way to start another perfect day in South Hams . Here catching the East Portlemouth foot ferry to Salcombe
On the way back we stopped off at Gara Rock to say good bye to the sun
Bolberry Down is a clifftop area owned by National Trust . The relatively flat section of coast path provide a perfect opportunity to create a smooth trial with plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the view. The path is part of the SW coast path and has been resurfaced and widen making it perfect for buggies , wheelchairs and walking hand in hand.
We had planned to walk and then enjoy tea and cake at the Ocean Reach Restaurant and Bar and checked it would be open . To our frustration it was closed so we jumped back in the car to the lovely seaside village of Hope Cove with the renowned Hope and Anchor for our refreshments . We were rewarded with another perfect sunset to end the day .
